Sarafa Book ("the app") is a deal book for gold and silver traders, published by Ibtsam Bilal ("we", "us"). This page explains what information the app uses and why. Contact: ribtsam0@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Phone number — to sign you in with a one-time code (SMS) and to let other traders in your market find you by your number.
• Display name and market — the name you enter and the market you choose. Your name is shown to a trader when you direct a deal to them.
• Profile photo (optional) — a small picture you choose yourself.
• Your deals — metal, weight, rate, party name, dates, notes and status. Your deal book is private to your account.
• Contacts you pick (optional) — only if you tap "Choose from contacts", the name and number of the one contact you select are saved on that deal. We never upload your address book.
• Directions between traders — when you direct a deal, the details of that deal and the names of the traders involved are shared with those traders so they can accept or decline.
• Notification token and language — so we can send you direction updates in your language.
• Crash and diagnostic reports — to find and fix bugs.

We do not collect your location, we do not show ads, and we do not sell your data.

How it is used

Only to run the app: sign-in, saving and syncing your deals, reminders, notifications, finding and directing deals between traders, and fixing crashes. Settlement reminders are created on your phone and are not sent through our servers.

Where it is stored and who processes it

Data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, App Check, Cloud Functions, Hosting), which acts as our service provider. Data is encrypted in transit. A copy of your deals is kept on your phone so the app works offline. Sharing a deal on WhatsApp opens your own WhatsApp with a message you can review; we do not see it. This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your information and do not share it for advertising. Other traders can see only your name, optional photo and market, and the details of deals you direct to them.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account and all its data yourself, any time: open the app → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, photo and your whole deal book. Deals directed between traders stay as a record for the other traders, but your name on them is replaced by "Deleted trader". You can also ask us to do it for you — see how to delete your account. Notification tokens expire automatically after about 9 months of inactivity. Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for a limited period and do not include your deals.

Children

The app is for adults and is not directed to children.
